In the framework of the MoroccanLogistics Awards © – MLA 2016, and following the presentation of the short listed project before the jury, three candidacies have been retained for the Logistical Project of the Year Award.
The three finalists are listed below (in alphabetical order) :
- Bombardier Aerospace North-Africa, with a project bearing on “the Optimization of In-house Logistics”
- DEVCORP with a project dubbed project: “Collaborative Transport Management System”
- HOLCIM Morocco with a project titled: “Automation of Bulk Loading.”
The MLA is organized by the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Logistics in collaboration with the General Confederation of Enterprises in Morocco and the professionals of the sector.
The announcement of the competition was made early March 2016. The potential candidates were given the possibility to submit their applications up until April 20, 2016.
For a first edition, the participation was quite encouraging: as many as 20 application files were received for “the Project of the Year 2016 Award” and six candidacies for “the Professional of the Year Award.”
The applications emanate from differently-sized companies operating in sundry activity sectors (logistical service providers and distributors; providers of IT solutions for logistics; loaders in the food-processing, pharmaceutical, construction materials, and aeronautics …). The projects covered a wide range of areas offering opportunities for the optimization of supply chains (warehousing; loading solutions; road haulage and air cargo; IT solutions; distribution; capacity-building, …).
The seven projects that had been shortlisted were then presented before a jury.
The three finalist projects will be presented to the logistics community during the Award Ceremony on May 11, 2016.
During the ceremony also, the winner of the “Professional of the Year 2016 Award” will be announced.
